My Background
Before entering the mental health profession, I spent several years working in higher education across various colleges and universities. Today, in addition to being a therapist, I work in tech, specializing in employee advocacy and belonging. My unique background helps me connect with individuals across different life stages and gives me a deep appreciation for transitions – whether it’s stepping into adulthood, shifting careers, navigating identity changes, or adjusting to parenthood. I’ve worked extensively with young adults in their “quarter-life,” individuals facing career uncertainty, survivors of sexual trauma, and those experiencing depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. Additionally, I have experience supporting individuals and couples through perinatal challenges as well as the evolving dynamics within partnerships during these life changes.
Why I Am a Therapist
I am a dedicated licensed social worker passionate about supporting diverse communities and creating equitable access to mental health care. My work is rooted in the belief that life unfolds in seasons – some soft, some stormy – and we all deserve support through each one. I bring a gentle, existential lens to therapy, helping clients explore what brings meaning and purpose to their lives, in whatever way feels true to them. I draw inspiration from nature and aim to create a space where clients can grow, pause, or reimagine at their own pace.
Education & Training
I hold a Master of Social Work with a mental health specialization from Loyola University Chicago and a Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. I work with both individuals and couples and have completed training in nonviolent communication, restorative practices, and trauma-informed care.
Areas of Specialization
My integrative, holistic approach is informed by my experience in education, social work, and the tech world. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, feminist and person-centered approaches, and draw from mindfulness, meditation, and Eastern-based practices. I’m especially passionate about helping clients uncover the stories that have shaped them – and explore how to live more fully, meaningfully, and authentically. My practice emphasizes cultural sensitivity, empowerment, and the mind-body connection, supporting clients with both compassion and clarity.
