It is not in spite of, but because of our struggles that we believe we all have the capacity to flourish. This perspective guides our relational approach to therapy, the foundation of which is based on the idea that mutually satisfying relationships are essential for our emotional well-being. Together, we will create a safe space to explore the issues you are facing with the intention of you feeling connected and empowered. We will accomplish this by building upon the strengths you already have as a foundation for our work together.
We will build upon this strengths-based foundation by integrating evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as:
- Acceptance and Commitment (ACT)
- Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
- Emotionally Focused
- Family / Marital
- Family Systems
- Gottman Method
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)
- Trauma Focused
A therapeutic approach that is strengths-based, trauma informed and holistic is essential to supporting the wonderfully complex person you are. There truly is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy, or life for that matter. With wellness in mind, we often refer to and work in collaboration with practitioners who support a holistic approach to wellness. Birth & postpartum doulas, lactation consultants, acupuncture, massage, nutrition, physical therapy, and/or medication management in conjunction with psychotherapy can be beneficial in supporting a holistic wellness plan for you.
