Position Description
Flourish Counseling & Wellness, a specialty group psychotherapy practice in Chicago & Oak Park, is seeking to hire a qualified Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team. The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse is responsible for assessing, prescribing and managing psychotropic medications for clients in addition to collaborating with our team of clinicians to ensure most optimal clinical care of clients.

Qualifications
- Masters of Science (MS) in Nursing
- Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nursing Certificate
- Experience working within the field of reproductive mental health
- Experience assessing, diagnosing and managing the mental health of clients via medication management
- Competency and confidence prescribing psychotropic medication during pregnancy, postpartum and chestfeeding
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to think globally, and relate well with persons from a variety of professional backgrounds, socioeconomic and cultural groups
- Self-sufficient and ability to work independently, manage caseload of new and recurring appointments
- Ability to work in and adapt the culture of a multi-cultural, group practice organization

Essential Functions
- Evaluate and manage the needs of clients seeking medication management, arranging further medical attention when necessary
- Collaborate with clients to answer questions and provide the full scope of risks, benefits of medication
- Attend monthly consultation to collaborate with clinical team
- Interest in offering workshops and/or presentations pertaining to medication management during pregnancy/postpartum period, reproductive mental health
- Provide clear, concise and timely documentation in EHR for services rendered by prescriber
- Manage schedule including scheduling followup appointments, tracking caseload to determine openings for new intakes and recurring appointments
- Prioritize 25 – 30 clinical hours per week
- Maintain a safe, ethical and collaborative environment for staff and clients of Flourish
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Founder

Staff Psychotherapist
Position Summary
Flourish Counseling & Wellness, a specialty group psychotherapy practice in the Chicago Loop & Oak Park, is seeking to hire a highly qualified, full-time clinician to join our team.
Our mission is to provide counseling, advocacy and resources focused on perinatal mental health from fertility to pregnancy, through postpartum and motherhood. We envision a world where all women and families have the information and support they need to heal, connect and flourish.
Flourish Counseling & Wellness offers individual, couples, family and group therapy in addition to workshops and consulting services specializing in perinatal mental health and wellness.
This position provides the opportunity for therapists to treat a range of issues directly related to women’s & perinatal mental health, including women’s health, family planning, infertility, pregnancy loss, fetal anomalies, mood disorders during pregnancy, postpartum & beyond, birth trauma, menopause, relationship issues and the parenthood journey.
The clinician must be willing to work two evenings per week or one evening and Saturdays. This is a full-time, W-2 position (25 – 28 direct client hours per week). Applicants experienced in providing couples therapy, family therapy and/or trained in a trauma treatment modality, such as EMDR are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or higher in social work, professional counseling, clinical psychology or marriage and family therapy. The clinician must be either fully licensed or provisionally licensed, working towards clinical licensure (LSW/LCSW, LPC/LCPC, AMFT/LMFT, or Clinical Psychology -PsyD)
- Must have experience evaluating, diagnosing, and treating emotional disorders in an outpatient setting. Demonstrated experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)/Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) OR women’s reproductive/perinatal mental health/couples therapy/trauma. Additionally, the candidate must have an interest in developing further expertise in the above areas.
- Must have a basic therapeutic framework and foundation for treating perinatal mental health disorders. With the understanding that clinicians are always deepening their skills and knowledge, candidates must at least have previous field experience in working with women and their families in a clinical capacity. The clinician must be trauma-informed and open to discussing and exploring the client-therapist relationship.
- Ability to interact effectively, sensitively, and professionally with clients and the professional community.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Therapists must complete and manage electronic notes and scheduling in a timely manner.
- Candidates should reserve 28 clinical hours per week at Flourish Counseling & Wellness. Therapists may not work in other group or private practices, but may work in other therapeutic settings as they build their caseload.
- Therapists at Flourish Counseling & Wellness meet weekly for group consultation and individual supervision addressing both casework and professional development. Attendance is required and clinician is compensated for their time.

- These positions provide the opportunity for student therapists to treat a range of issues directly related to women’s & perinatal mental health, including women’s health, family planning, infertility, pregnancy loss, fetal anomalies, mood disorders during pregnancy, postpartum & beyond, birth trauma, menopause, relationship issues and the parenthood journey.
Position
- Interns will work remotely and will conduct sessions via telehealth
- Carry a caseload of individual or couples clients (clinical hours depending on university requirements)
- Manage own clinical schedule
- 1 hour of individual supervision each week
- 1 hour of group supervision every other week
- All-staff meetings every other month
- Student will prepare a 30 minute in-service presentation during second half of internship
- Facilitate or co-facilitate at least 1 group or workshop, related to the perinatal experience
- Complete all electronic notes and documentation in a timely manner
- Complete assigned trainings and engage in learning opportunities
- Internships are unpaid
- Ideal timeframe for internship: start mid-August and end May/June
