Crystal’s healthcare journey is inspiring and deeply rooted in a commitment to holistic wellness. She began by earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Resurrection University in Oak Park, Illinois, in 2010, stepping into the field as a registered nurse in a bustling hospital setting. Here, she built invaluable experience in acute care and connected with patients from all walks of life. After four years as an RN, Crystal felt a strong calling to expand her expertise, and in 2017, she achieved her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Midwifery. Becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife, she approached women’s health holistically, providing care from prenatal to postnatal stages and collaborating with physicians, social workers, and community leaders to ensure women were fully supported during life’s most profound moments.
Understanding the vital connection between mental and physical health sparked a new passion for Crystal: accessible, integrated care. Driven by this purpose, she pursued a specialized program to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In her role, she diagnoses and treats individuals facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, offering compassionate care with a holistic lens.
Crystal’s dual expertise in Midwifery and psychiatry uniquely positions her to champion whole-person wellness in her community. She actively advocates for mental health awareness in expectant mothers and works to destigmatize mental illness, especially in underserved communities. With her background, skills, and passion, Crystal is determined to make a lasting impact on the lives of those she serves, fostering an environment where comprehensive wellness is accessible to all.
