Sue Nankin (she/her/hers)

MS, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, CNM-FPA, PMHNP-BC, FACNM

I am a board-certified nurse practitioner with specialized training in women’s health, midwifery, and psychiatric-mental health, bringing three decades of experience delivering compassionate, safe, and evidence-based care to clients across the lifespan. From adolescence through older adulthood, I have supported individuals through some of life’s most significant transitions, including pregnancy and postpartum, reproductive and gynecologic health, menopause, and the mental health needs that so often accompany these stages.

Today, I draw on that foundation to provide comprehensive mental health care that honors the connection between body and mind. My practice focuses on depression, anxiety, perinatal and menopausal mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders, always viewed through the lens of each person’s whole story.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care. I recognize that many people carry experiences of trauma that shape how they seek, receive, and trust healthcare. Every encounter is built on safety, transparency, choice, and collaboration, so that clients feel respected, heard, and empowered as active partners in their care.

An intersectional lens is central to everything I do. I understand that race, gender, sexuality, culture, socioeconomic status, disability, and other identities intersect to shape health outcomes and access to care. I am deeply committed to providing equitable, culturally responsive, and affirming care that welcomes people of every identity and background, including LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and to addressing the systemic barriers that affect the communities I serve.
